Skikda city

🌍 Discover Skikda City

Rusicada – the ancient name bestowed by the Phoenicians – echoes through the coastal winds of eastern Algeria. Skikda is more than a city; it's a living mosaic of history, nature, and culture nestled between the sea and the Collo Massif.

🏖️ Size & Setting: Spanning over 4,137.68 km², Skikda stretches from Marsa in the east to Oued Zhour in the west. It’s a blend of sandy shores, citrus orchards, strawberry fields, olive groves, and vibrant fishing culture.

After independence, Skikda transformed into one of Algeria’s vital industrial and maritime hubs, hosting key ports and a major petrochemical complex. While modernization reshaped parts of its coastline, its heart remains wild and beautiful.
